For the new Alexander McQueen Spring 2015 RTW Collection, Sarah Burton was in a Japanese state of mind – this is not the first time the house uses Asian motifs in its shows or use the ethereal white orchids as inspiration – geisha and samurai embodied the extremes of her latest line, cherry-blossom petals adorned the precious handbags in shades of soft pink, and, of course, for the lovers of the darker inner side of Alexander McQueen, lashed-up gladiator boots with eyewateringly precarious platforms where present completed by shiny black masks which outlined every face.
Gaetano Perrone, the chief designer of shoes and accessories of fashion house Alexander McQueen, released a limited edition of shoes and bags created especially for the Vogue Night’s Out event. With the shows going on in Milan these days, fans of the brand will be happy to know that they will find the gorgeous pieces at the luxury fashion boutique 10 Corso Como, and only there.
The Californian beauty, Cameron Diaz, unveiled her first full collection of shoes and bags for the fashion label Pour La Victorie. Although she didn’t have any design experience before joining the New York based brand she knew that she wanted to create something simple and clean, “without too many bells and whistles“. The result is a collection that covers an entire wardrobe – we see sexy heels and comfy boots, in autumn colours like burgundy and navy, grey and black.
“When I’m in New York, I pretty much wear flats. If I get a great pair of heels that I can walk in the city in, I find myself in those heels all the time. Otherwise, if I’m in the city I wear more of a utilitarian boot. But in Los Angeles, because you’re in your car all the time, I find myself wearing heels a lot. And I really love a good heeled boot because I move quickly on my feet and I want something that’s going to stay on. That’s why with my Pour La Victoire line you see strappy bits on some shoes. Because functionally you want something that looks good on the foot but stays on the foot and doesn’t require a lot of work to do so ” – said the gorgeous Cameron.
The prices of the collection range from $195 to $495, and is available on pourlavictoire.com.
Every girl must have in her wardrobe at least one pair of black pumps, and now, in addition to black, for a bit of a change, the blue pumps can be an inspired getaway from the routine. Matched with colourful dresses in cotton and denim – in other words with most of the summer wardrobe – these pumps will play their part on helping you create a fabulous look.

The demonic image of the evil Maleficent did not leave indifferent many of the world’s designers and makeup artists – like MAC and Stella Mccartney to name a few- so they created gorgeous collections inspired by the heroine of the fantasy blockbuster, beautiful Angelina Jolie. For the premiere of the movie, Louboutin, in collaboration with the actress, launched “Malangeli“, a made-to-measure range of shoes, in limited edition, which can be ordered in the five Christian Louboutin boutiques around the world, starting October 20 – Paris, New York, Hong Kong, California and London.
Designed with a sculpted heel resembling fire and smoke, on a nude mesh base, and of course, with the French designer’s iconic red sole, each pair of shoes was made by hand in the studio of Christian Louboutin in Paris – this explains the price also ( in UK the shoes will retail at £950 ), and will be sold on a pre-ordered basis only.
The profits from the sale will go to the aid of one of the largest charity – “SOS – Children’s Village” – dedicated to abandoned and orphaned children which has been supported by mother-of-six Jolie since 2003.
About the collaboration with Jolie, Louboutin says : “ It is exciting to work with someone who has such a strong aesthetic and character. Getting to know Angelina through a fun collaboration has been one of my greatest pleasures!”
