Frida Giannini and Patrizio di Marco

She is Roman, a super cultivated and self-deprecating  woman, which attributes the merit of her extraordinary career to her “tenacity” (from the Academy of Costume & Fashion – with a scholarship – to Fendi, up to the top of Gucci at just thirty-two years, replacing Tom Ford, the emperor of sensuality and the 90s) a woman who in interviews goes easily from Alberto Sordi to the classical culture. He has a fixation for the comics superheros of Marvel, and become a young export manager for the most luxurious fashion brands – Prada in Japan and then in the United States, Vuitton in the US, Céline and Bottega Veneta, and finally Gucci.

Frida Giannini (42 years) and Patrizio di Marco (52), are a couple in life as in work. She was Gucci’s creative director since 2006, he was the CEO / President of the Italian house since 2009. The French group, Kering (third in the luxury market after LVMH and Richemont, owner of many Italian brands like Gucci, Brioni, Bottega Veneta, Pomellato and Saint Laurent, Puma and more) announced the end of the collaboration with the duo Giannini- di Marco. He is already free from January first – Marco Bizzarri succeeds him, the man who substituted him at Bottega Veneta – as for Frida Giannini, she will stay up to the Milan fashion shows, in January (menswear), and February (woman). The successor of her? Will be announced at the beginning of 2015.

For the Florentine brand born 93 years ago, one of the most iconic luxury brand, best known and respected in the world, François-Henri Pinault – owner and director of PPR – ensures for the future “a new chapter of success to its unique history.”
