Suzy Menkes, 70 years old, a force in the fashion world, a known presence at the shows front row and a serious contributor of New York Times (former Herald Tribune) takes it to another level – becomes International Vogue Editor, after working for 25 years with the Paris-based newspaper.
“I think it’s the most wonderful opportunity,” Menkes told WWD at the Stella McCartney show. “Change is good, it’s what fashion is all about.”
“I am very excited to become International Vogue Editor of Condé Nast International , which represents the excellence of journalism , and to have the opportunity to write for an audience much wider through the sites of Vogue ,” says Suzy Menkes . “I’m glad I spent 25 years at the International Herald Tribune. Now , in the digital age , I feel that the time has come to embark on a new challenge.”
