Suzy Menkes, 70 years old, a force in the fashion world, a known presence at the shows front row and a serious contributor of New York Times (former Herald Tribune) takes it to another level – becomes International Vogue Editor, after working for 25 years with the Paris-based newspaper.

I think it’s the most wonderful opportunity,” Menkes told WWD at the Stella McCartney show. “Change is good, it’s what fashion is all about.”

I am very excited to become International Vogue Editor of Condé Nast International , which represents the excellence of journalism , and to have the opportunity to write for an audience much wider through the sites of Vogue ,” says Suzy Menkes . “I’m glad I spent 25 years at the International Herald Tribune. Now , in the digital age , I feel that the time has come to embark on a new challenge.”
