The London department store, Liberty, often collaborates with fashion brands to create capsule collections. In the past they collaborated with Manolo Blahnik, Dr. Martens, Nike, Levi’s, Roland Mouret, Kenzo and now, the list of such huge names enriched when the Swedish brand Acne joined the Liberty department store for this new project. The collection consists of leather jackets, denim overalls, t-shirts and sweatshirts. Accessories – caps, sunglasses, scarves and bags – and also two models of shoes .
The Acne collection draws inspiration from the most iconic Liberty prints. Jonny – a paisley print created between 1890 and 1910, Eva – inspired by the Japanese culture, and Alma’s bird – an animal print with modern elements. All of them will be used on a selection of leather pieces by Acne Studio.
The new capsule collection will be shown entirely at Liberty department store on February 14 and will begin selling in March – online at www.acne.com and in Acne stores.
